Fulfillment Operations Associate
Auto Mod Accessories | Salt Lake Valley, UT | Part-Time to Full-Time
About the Role
We're seeking an Associate to join our fulfillment team and grow into a leadership position within our fast-paced auto accessory e-commerce operation. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who loves cars, thrives on learning, and wants to build a career in e-commerce operations from the ground up.
You'll start by mastering the fundamentals of warehouse execution—picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control—while contributing ideas to improve efficiency, accuracy, and team culture. As you develop, you'll take on increasing responsibility for systems, people, and process optimization.
Schedule: Part-time to start (20-30 hours/week), transitioning to full-time as the business and your role expand.
What You'll Do
Core Responsibilities
- Pick & Pack Orders: Pull items from inventory, confirm order accuracy, and pack shipments to brand standards with appropriate protection, inserts, and compliance (fragile items, lithium batteries, etc.)
- Shipping Operations: Generate shipping labels, select optimal carriers and service levels, resolve address validation issues, and manage dimensional weight optimization for cost savings
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock counts, update systems in real-time, organize warehouse layout, and perform cycle counts
- Quality Assurance: Conduct random shipment audits, flag errors, and ensure adherence to SOPs before orders leave the facility
- Returns Processing: Inspect returned items, determine restocking eligibility, update inventory, and identify trends (defects, fit issues, shipping damage)
- Metrics & Reporting: Track fulfillment speed, accuracy rates, cost per order, and error trends to drive continuous improvement
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a small, tight-knit team to maintain strong work ethic, positive energy, and shared accountability
Growth & Leadership Track
- Learn warehouse management and order management systems (e.g., Shopify Shipping)
- Build and refine SOPs for picking, packing, and shipping workflows
- Train new team members as we scale
- Contribute ideas for automation, process improvements, and cost reduction
- Develop into a Fulfillment Producer or Operations Lead role
